United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has awarded its 2025–2026 Community Impact Grants to 16 outstanding nonprofit partners. The announcement reinforces the organization’s mission to unite the region through strategic support that creates lasting, measurable change.

Supporting students, jobseekers, and families across the region
The UWSN Community Impact Grants help local nonprofits deliver vital services that promote student success, increase access to workforce development, and support household stability. These awards follow a competitive, community-driven review process led by more than 40 local volunteers. Each application was carefully evaluated for impact, alignment, and readiness. According to UWSN President and CEO Samuel Rudd, this year’s selection represents the best of what’s possible when a region collaborates to improve lives. The review panel ensured all funding aligned with Southern Nevada’s most urgent needs. This year’s grantees are focused on educational outcomes, family well-being, and direct service delivery that uplifts underserved communities. Grant funding goes toward programs that make a real, visible difference.
Funding impact from Clark County to Nye
UWSN’s reach spans Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and communities in Lincoln and Nye Counties. These grants are just one part of UWSN’s broader impact strategy, which distributed more than $17 million across the region last year. Other programs included the Employee Crisis Funds, the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Grant Program, the Nevada Ready! State Pre-K Program, and Project REACH. The organization continues to lead collaborative investment efforts that prioritize equity, sustainability, and family resilience. The 2025–2026 funding cycle highlights UWSN’s shift toward results-based partnerships that focus on long-term outcomes and shared accountability.

Volunteer-led decisions grounded in equity
The review process was overseen by UWSN’s Funding Review Committee, composed of local stakeholders and civic leaders. Their role was to ensure every decision reflected a deep understanding of Southern Nevada’s real needs. According to the committee, the process involved not just numbers and proposals but conversations about the community’s future. These volunteers prioritized organizations that demonstrate a track record of trust, transparency, and equity-centered outcomes.
Building momentum for 2026 and beyond
United Way of Southern Nevada continues to adapt to the evolving needs of the region. The grant program reflects a broader investment philosophy that centers community voice, outcome-based funding, and high-impact collaboration. From student literacy programs to food distribution for seniors, these initiatives will make immediate and long-term differences in the lives of thousands of Southern Nevadans. More importantly, the grants represent shared responsibility and trust—both in the nonprofits delivering the services and in the donors making the support possible.
