LAS VEGAS — United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has announced the 16 nonprofit organizations selected to receive Community Impact Grants for the 2026–2027 funding cycle. The annual program helps local organizations expand services that improve education, financial security, health and community resilience throughout Southern Nevada.
The grants support programs serving residents in Clark, Lincoln, Esmeralda and Nye counties. Each year, UWSN reviews changing community needs to ensure funding reaches organizations making the greatest impact.
President and CEO Samuel Rudd said strong communities are built through partnerships and shared commitment.
“The need across Southern Nevada continues to grow,” Rudd said. “This funding helps our nonprofit partners provide critical services while building a stronger and more resilient community for everyone.”
Funding reaches families where it matters most
The Community Impact Grant Program supports nonprofits working directly with children, families and seniors.
Many of the funded organizations focus on helping students succeed in school, improving financial literacy, increasing access to healthcare and wellness services, and providing emergency assistance for families facing unexpected hardships.
The 16 grant recipients now join a network of more than 100 organizations working alongside UWSN to improve lives throughout Southern Nevada.
Each recipient completed a competitive application process that included detailed program reviews and evaluations by more than 40 volunteers serving on the United Way Funding Review Committee.
Millions invested across Southern Nevada
The Community Impact Grants represent just one part of UWSN’s larger investment in the region.
During the past year, the organization invested more than $18 million into programs supporting local families. Those investments included Community Impact Grants, Employee Crisis & Relief Funds, Pre-K for Nevada, Project REACH, United Readers and several additional initiatives designed to address long-term community needs.
The funding reflects United Way’s continued commitment to helping residents achieve greater stability while creating opportunities for future success.
Thousands of residents receive support
The impact of UWSN’s work can be seen through the thousands of resources distributed over the past 12 months.
Working alongside community partners, the organization provided more than 28,100 economic stability resources, financial literacy kits and professional clothing items. Partners also distributed more than 8,000 educational resources and school supply kits to students across Southern Nevada.
Health remained another priority. More than 20,800 health and wellness resources reached local families, while another 15,200 crisis support resources and emergency preparedness kits helped residents prepare for unexpected challenges.
As community needs continue to evolve, UWSN says the Community Impact Grant Program will remain an important tool for strengthening neighborhoods and supporting nonprofit organizations that make a lasting difference every day.
