Beijing’s Chaoyang District Launches Year-Round Floral Celebration
The Chaoyang Garden Festival has officially opened in Beijing, turning the entire Chaoyang District into a blooming celebration of urban beauty and natural design. Streets and parks across the district are filled with flowers. Every space reflects a powerful mix of nature, culture, and urban charm.
Rotating Floral Events Keep the City in Bloom
Throughout the year, different parks will host seasonal floral events. For example, Chaoyang Park kicks off the tulip festival, while Olympic Green showcases the Field of Flowers. In spring, the crabapple blossoms at Yuan Dynasty City Wall Relics Park attract crowds. During summer, Honglingjin Park will highlight the annual lotus festival.

The symbol includes a modern take on the Chinese character 花 (flower). As a result, the brand reflects the district’s message of progress, sunlight, and green transformation.

Ongoing Projects Expand the Garden City Vision
By the end of 2024, Chaoyang completed key improvements across the district. These included 68 boundary-free parks, 12 updated age-inclusive parks, and over 310 kilometers of greenways. These projects not only added beauty but also created safer, healthier spaces for residents and visitors alike.
Looking ahead, the district plans to add more parks and extend connected greenways. Additionally, the “One Park, One Specialty Flower” initiative will give each park a unique floral identity. These updates aim to strengthen the city’s environment while promoting public engagement.
Chaoyang Serves as a Global Hub Inside Beijing
Covering 470.8 square kilometers, Chaoyang is one of Beijing’s largest and most global districts. Nearly all foreign embassies in China are located here. On top of that, 90% of foreign media outlets and 70% of regional headquarters for multinational companies are also based in Chaoyang.
The district also hosts more than half of all international conferences in Beijing. Because of its global reach and eco-friendly focus, Chaoyang continues to lead both in diplomacy and design.
