The Home + History Las Vegas Festival returns May 1–4 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This year, over 30 events will highlight the city’s rich design, culture, and preservation history. Organized by the Nevada Preservation Foundation, the festival blends education, storytelling, and fun across neighborhoods and landmarks.

Explore Las Vegas History Up Close
This annual event connects locals and visitors to the stories that built Las Vegas. Attendees can take part in guided walking tours, historic home visits, and expert panels. Tours include access to sites rarely open to the public. Each event offers a look at the real people and places that shaped the valley.

Festival Highlights Across the City
Featured events include the Vintage Vegas Home Tour, allowing guests to explore private homes at their own pace. Fakeitecture dives into how Las Vegas became known for playful recreations of world landmarks. The Underground Celebrity Icons Tour takes guests inside a Cold War-era underground home. There’s also Preservation 101, where the annual 11 Most Endangered List will be revealed. Guests can join Sips, Stories & Street Art, combining a pub crawl with storytelling and murals in the 18b Arts District.

Keynote Session with Alan Hess
Architectural historian Alan Hess will headline the festival with a keynote on Mid-Century Modern Las Vegas. His session takes place at the historic Fremont Hotel & Casino. This talk will focus on how architecture influenced the identity of postwar Las Vegas. It’s a rare opportunity to hear from one of the country’s most respected voices in preservation.
More Than Tours—A Mission of Preservation
The Nevada Preservation Foundation leads the effort behind the festival. Founded in 2014, the nonprofit protects and promotes historic buildings and cultural resources across Nevada. Their work helps keep stories alive, neighborhoods connected, and landmarks intact. The Home + History Las Vegas Festival is their signature event—and their biggest chance to engage the public.
