The next Community Court Treatment Program Graduation and Promotion Celebration will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. inside the Regional Justice Center’s Jury Services Office, located at 200 Lewis Avenue in downtown Las Vegas. The public is welcome to attend and show support for the graduates.

Helping Participants Reclaim Their Lives
The Las Vegas Justice Court Community Court Treatment Program was created to reduce recidivism among low-level misdemeanor offenders. This program combines judicial supervision with direct access to support services. These include substance use treatment, education, employment resources, and help for those facing medical or disability-related challenges.
A Path to Stability and Recovery
Graduating from the Community Court Treatment Program requires participants to complete at least nine months of commitment. They must also remain drug and alcohol free for a minimum of 60 days. Each participant follows a customized plan that may include individual therapy, group sessions, and random substance testing.
Restoring Documents and Support Systems
The court helps participants recover essential documents such as state IDs, birth certificates, or insurance cards. It also connects them with local providers offering medical, dental, vision, and mental health care. Many participants also gain access to education, job placement, or retirement and disability benefits. Family reconnection and community service are encouraged to strengthen stability and support systems.
Chief Judge De La Garza Leads the Program
Chief Judge Melisa De La Garza, who oversees the program, believes in treating every participant with dignity and respect. She invites families, friends, and community members to attend the ceremony and celebrate the powerful transformations made by each graduate.
A Model of Community Partnership
The program relies on cooperation between the courts, non-profit groups, government agencies, faith-based providers, and community leaders. By working together, they create a system that is fair, focused on healing, and committed to long-term success for each individual involved Just Now News.
