Commissioner Justin Jones invites families to a free Back to School Fair at Desert Breeze Community Center.
Clark County is helping students prepare for the new school year with a free Back to School Fair hosted by Commissioner Justin Jones. The event takes place Saturday, August 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Desert Breeze Community Center, located at 8275 Spring Mountain Road. It offers local families school supplies, backpacks, and a wide range of student services — completely free of charge.

Students must be present to receive supplies
To participate, families must complete pre-registration, and students must attend in person. The fair will offer free vaccines, health screenings, haircuts, and valuable community resources. All items and services are first come, first served, and available only while supplies last.
Supporting students and families countywide
This event is more than just a giveaway. It’s designed to promote confidence, readiness, and community support. Commissioner Jones, a parent himself, recognizes the emotional impact of starting the school year strong. When students feel supported, they’re more likely to succeed. That’s why this event is a core effort in District F and across Clark County.
Registration is now open
Families can register online through the official Clark County event portal. Slots fill quickly, so early action is encouraged. No walk-ups will be allowed. Students must be present to receive items.
