Destination Canada Shines at IMEX America 2025

Just Now News Visits Destination Canada at IMEX Las Vegas

Just Now News had the chance to stop by and visit Destination Canada at IMEX America 2025 in Las Vegas. The team proudly showcased Canada’s bold new approach to international business events, welcoming global planners and partners with open arms. The collaboration between Destination Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) underscored the nation’s commitment to making business travel and conferences easy, seamless, and inclusive.

Canada’s Strong Presence at IMEX America 2025

Canada made a powerful impression with 40 Destination Partners and a vibrant, modern brand presence. At the Destination Canada IMEX America 2025 booth, an IRCC representative shared practical advice on entry requirements, demonstrating how simple and accessible the visa process is for event organizers and delegates. This collaboration helped clarify travel procedures and promoted confidence in choosing Canada for international meetings.

Simplifying Access for Global Events

Destination Canada introduced a new video created with IRCC that outlines a clear, step-by-step visa guide for event organizers and attendees. The video explains how to determine whether a delegate needs an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), a visitor visa, or no visa at all. It also walks users through the application process, ensuring a smooth and confident experience.

“Our destinations are diverse and vibrant, our infrastructure world-class, and our accessibility stronger than many realize,” said Virginie De Visscher, Executive Director of Business Events at Destination Canada. “By offering practical tools and working alongside IRCC, we make hosting events in Canada seamless.”

Shifting Perceptions and Opening Doors

Event planners sometimes believe that Canada is difficult to access. The Destination Canada IMEX America 2025 team worked to change that misconception through its “Canada, Naturally.” brand platform. This new campaign highlights Canada’s open hearts, open minds, and open spaces. With authentic storytelling and helpful planning tools, the message is clear — Canada is ready and easy to welcome the world.

Building Canada’s Global Event Reputation

These efforts are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Canada’s position in the global convention market. Destination Canada aims to shift the narrative from “hard to access” to “a welcoming, world-class destination for global business events.” The Destination Canada IMEX America 2025 participation proves that Canada is ready to host the world with ease and enthusiasm.
