Discovering the Heart of Collaboration Center Foundation Las Vegas

This week, I was given a rare opportunity—a personal tour of the Collaboration Center Foundation Las Vegas campus by Executive Director Cindy Goussak. In my years of reporting, few experiences have left me as inspired as this one. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I felt the heart and soul of a campus built to uplift and transform lives.

Cindy led me through every space with deep pride. We talked, we walked the grounds, and I witnessed a level of commitment to the Las Vegas disability community that was nothing short of extraordinary. I took photos, chatted with staff, and even sat down for coffee at the on-site café. This campus isn’t just a service provider—it’s a living, breathing support system for families.

More Than a Campus—It’s a Community

The Collaboration Center Foundation Las Vegas campus is located on five peaceful acres. It serves as a full-spectrum resource hub for individuals with developmental, intellectual, learning, and physical disabilities. Every inch of the campus is intentional. From the moment you arrive, it feels like home.

What struck me most was the atmosphere—welcoming, safe, and joyful. The team here isn’t just delivering services. They’re creating connection, purpose, and lasting impact.

Meet the Campus Tortoise and Explore the Garden

As we walked, Cindy introduced me to one of the campus’s most charming residents: their pet tortoise. This slow-moving ambassador brings smiles to both children and adults. He’s not just a mascot—he’s a symbol of calm, comfort, and community.

Just steps away is the fresh community garden, bursting with life. Staff, families, and participants all contribute to the care and harvest. It’s more than just plants—it’s a teaching space, a therapy zone, and a symbol of growth. These small, thoughtful additions show how deeply CCF values every aspect of wellness and inclusion.

Programs That Empower the Whole Family

CCF doesn’t just serve clients—they serve families. During my visit, I met a mother whose child receives services through the Pathways Family Inclusion Program. Her voice cracked as she described how this campus changed their life. She didn’t need to explain further. You could see the gratitude in her eyes.

Programs offered include:
• Caregiver support groups
• Family yoga and wellness activities
• Sibling “Sibshops” hangouts
• Adult social engagement circles
• Sensory-friendly seasonal events
• Educational workshops for the entire household

All of this happens onsite and is provided at no cost.

A One-Stop Hub for Disability Support

At the heart of the campus is the Pathways Care Coordination Program. This team offers free case management and connects families to resources both on and off the grounds. Their support adjusts as needs change, ensuring no family ever feels alone.

What sets CCF apart is its structure. Everything is collaborative. Providers, therapists, nonprofits, and government agencies share space inside the Helms Helps Hub. The result is a seamless network built around dignity, access, and inclusion.

Led by People Who Truly Care

The staff at CCF don’t just do a job—they live the mission. They’re case managers, educators, advocates, and changemakers. Every smile, every greeting, and every service is delivered with respect. This is where professionalism meets compassion.

Whether you’re attending a wellness session, sitting in the café, or simply watching children play outdoors, you feel the difference. This place works because the people here care—deeply and genuinely.

Night en Blanc Returns to Support the Mission

CCF’s 5th Annual Night en Blanc Gala will return this year as one of Las Vegas’ premier fundraising events. The open-air culinary celebration raises funds for continued programming and disability inclusion efforts. Guests will dine under the stars in support of a place that is quietly changing lives every day.

The Collaboration Center Foundation Las Vegas campus is more than a resource—it’s a movement. From the fresh produce in the garden to the wisdom behind the programs, every inch of this campus radiates care. Families here don’t just receive help. They receive hope.
