Embraer and Flexjet Ink Historic $7 Billion Deal to Expand Private Jet Fleet

Embraer Flexjet $7 billion deal

Flexjet’s firm order for 182 aircraft marks the largest deal for both companies. This move reinforces its commitment to Embraer’s Phenom and Praetor jets.

February 5, 2025 – Flexjet and Embraer Executive Jets have signed a record-breaking deal worth up to $7 billion. The agreement includes a firm order of 182 aircraft, with 30 additional options. Over the next five years, this expansion will nearly double Flexjet’s fleet.

A Strategic Expansion in Luxury Private Aviation

This partnership strengthens a collaboration that started in 2003. The agreement covers Embraer’s top business jets, including the Phenom 300E, Praetor 500, and Praetor 600. It solidifies Flexjet’s leadership in the fractional ownership sector.

As the launch customer for the Praetor fleet, Flexjet continues to lead in private jet innovation. The addition of the enhanced Phenom 300E further strengthens its reputation for offering state-of-the-art, high-performance aircraft.

Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, highlighted this renewed commitment. He stated that the purchase agreement enhances an already strong 20-year partnership. More Flexjet fractional owners will now have access to industry-leading Phenom and Praetor jets.

The Largest Order in Flexjet’s 30-Year History

This deal is the largest order in Flexjet’s nearly three-decade history. It expands the company’s fleet across North America and Europe. More travelers will now experience Embraer’s high-performance business jets.

Flexjet has been instrumental in achieving milestones with Embraer. It was the launch customer for the Legacy Executive in 2003. It also received the 1,000th Embraer executive jet delivery in 2016. The Phenom 300 has remained the most delivered light business jet for 12 consecutive years.

Michael Silvestro, CEO of Flexjet, emphasized that the company’s 30th anniversary is the perfect time to strengthen its long-term relationship with Embraer.

What This Means for the Future of Private Jet Travel

Sustainability, innovation, and luxury remain top priorities. The agreement includes an enhanced services and support package. This ensures top-tier maintenance, training, and operational excellence. These factors are crucial for delivering a seamless private jet experience.
