Aviators win four straight after opening-game loss and look to capture the series finale at Las Vegas Ballpark
LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Aviators have turned an early stumble into an impressive run this week at Las Vegas Ballpark. After dropping the opener to the El Paso Chihuahuas, Las Vegas responded with four consecutive victories to take a commanding lead in the six-game Pacific Coast League series.
The Aviators entered the homestand as one of Triple-A Baseball’s hottest teams after already clinching the Pacific Coast League’s first-half title. This week’s series has provided another opportunity for Las Vegas to build momentum before returning to the road.
El Paso wins the opener
El Paso opened the series Tuesday with an 11-7 victory.
Nick Solak led the Chihuahuas with a home run and a two-run triple, while Dustin Harris finished with four hits. The Aviators kept the game close early, but El Paso pulled away late to take Game 1.

Las Vegas answers immediately
The Aviators bounced back Wednesday behind outstanding pitching.
Las Vegas defeated El Paso 5-1 while holding the Chihuahuas to just one hit. Despite issuing ten walks, the Aviators escaped every threat and evened the series.

Offense comes alive
Las Vegas carried that momentum into Thursday.
The Aviators collected another strong offensive performance and earned an 11-5 victory to move ahead in the series. Timely hitting and solid bullpen work helped Las Vegas secure its second straight win.

Friday brought another offensive explosion.
The Aviators pounded out 15 runs in a 15-9 victory. Jack Winkler highlighted the night with a grand slam, while Brian Serven and Brayan Buelvas added home runs as Las Vegas continued its hot streak.

Las Vegas stayed in control Saturday night with another complete performance, defeating El Paso 10-3 to secure the series before Sunday’s finale.

The Aviators will look for a fifth consecutive victory and a 5-1 series win. El Paso, meanwhile, hopes to finish the week on a positive note before returning home.
