Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick will host the official Cinco de Mayo celebration on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Robert E. “Bob” Price Park, located at 5852 E. Lake Mead Blvd. and North Sloan Lane. This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to all ages.

Live Entertainment and Cultural Festivities
The celebration features live music, folkloric dancers, and high-energy DJ sets. Kids will love the bounce houses and piñata bashing zones. Guests can also enjoy live boxing exhibitions throughout the evening. Performances by mariachi bands will bring even more excitement to the event.
Free Mexican Food and Local Vendors
Guests can enjoy free Mexican dishes like the famous Mole Poblano. Traditional plates will reflect the culinary culture of Puebla. Local vendors will also offer food and beverages while supplies last. There’s no need for a ticket—just come hungry and ready to celebrate.
Why Cinco de Mayo Matters
This date marks the 1862 victory of the Mexican army over France at the Battle of Puebla. Although not Mexico’s Independence Day, it has become a powerful symbol of Mexican-American pride. Clark County’s annual celebration honors that historic win and highlights the strength of our community.
Commissioner Kirkpatrick’s Commitment
Commissioner Kirkpatrick continues her mission to bring people together through cultural celebration. Her goal is to provide a safe, fun space for families to connect. Every year, this event draws huge crowds, showcasing unity, inclusion, and positive energy.
