LAS VEGAS — Nearly 400 community leaders gathered Friday at AREA15 for the annual Women United Fashion Show Luncheon, an event focused on confidence, opportunity and community impact.
Hosted by United Way of Southern Nevada and presented by Light & Wonder, the luncheon highlighted how local support helps women take steps toward financial stability.
The event also celebrated the success of the Women United Suit Drive, one of the organization’s largest annual efforts.

Suit drive collects nearly 25,000 items
Organizers said the 18th annual Women United Suit Drive collected nearly 25,000 professional clothing items and accessories.
These donations help women prepare for job interviews, return to the workforce and build long-term independence.
The program provides more than clothing. It gives women confidence during key moments in their lives.
Community leaders said the continued growth of the drive reflects strong support across Southern Nevada.

Runway moment highlights real stories
The most powerful moment of the afternoon came during the fashion show.
Women who benefited from the suit drive walked the runway inside AREA15’s Portal. Each participant wore clothing they received through the program.
Each walk represented a personal journey. Many participants shared stories about rebuilding confidence and preparing for new opportunities.
“I went on interviews feeling really confident, feeling pretty,” said Veronda, a participant in the program. “It built my self-esteem and motivated me to do better.”
The runway created a moment where the impact of the program became visible to everyone in the room.

Leaders emphasize community support
United Way leaders said the event shows what can happen when a community comes together.
“Year after year, we are inspired by the way our community shows up for women working toward financial stability,” said Samuel Rudd, president and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada.
He said the program helps remove barriers and create real paths to success.
Support from Light & Wonder helped make the event possible. The company continues to invest in programs that support employment and career growth.
“Seeing the confidence and determination of each participant reinforces the importance of investing in programs that create real opportunity,” said Andy Fouché, vice president of corporate affairs and communications.

Event begins with Sip N Shop experience
The afternoon started at AREA15’s A-Lot with a Sip N Shop experience.
Guests explored a pop-up boutique, took part in a silent auction and joined interactive activities.
The event then moved inside for the Fierce & Fearless Fashion Show.
The program focused on the voices of the women served through the suit drive. Guests heard firsthand how the program helped them move forward.
Ongoing impact across Southern Nevada
Through programs like the Women United Suit Drive, United Way of Southern Nevada continues to support women across the region.
The organization connects women with resources, professional clothing and support networks.
Leaders said these efforts help strengthen families and the local workforce.
They also said community involvement will remain important as the program continues to grow.
