Explore Las Vegas Crime History at New Airport Store

New Store Gives Travelers an Early Look at Las Vegas Crime History

LAS VEGAS (January 2026) – Travelers moving through Las Vegas now have a new way to experience the city’s history before leaving the airport. The Mob Museum has partnered with Day One Group to open its first-ever airport retail store at Harry Reid International Airport.

The new store is located in the D Gates and introduces travelers to the Museum’s signature storytelling, artifacts, and merchandise. As a result, visitors can experience the spirit of The Mob Museum without leaving the terminal.

A New Retail Experience Inside the D Gates

The store brings The Mob Museum’s voice and mission into one of the world’s busiest travel hubs. In 2024 alone, Harry Reid International Airport welcomed more than 58 million passengers. Meanwhile, The Mob Museum attracts over 400,000 visitors each year to its downtown Las Vegas location.

Because of this reach, the airport store serves as a strong introduction to the Museum’s deeper exhibits. It offers travelers a chance to explore the history of organized crime and law enforcement in a quick and engaging way.

Historic Jaguar on Display at the Airport

To capture attention, The Mob Museum placed a rare 1972 Signal Red Jaguar XKE at the entrance to the D Gates for a limited time. The car once belonged to Gambino crime family boss John Gotti.

According to former FBI undercover agent Joaquin “Jack” Garcia, Gambino caporegime Gregory DePalma gave the car to Gotti to gain favor. Later, Gotti gifted the Jaguar to his wife, Victoria, for their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.

Because of its history, the car gives travelers an immediate glimpse into organized crime’s cultural impact. It also connects directly to the stories explored inside the store.

Artifacts, Souvenirs, and Interactive Moments

Inside the retail space, guests can browse branded apparel, mugs, books, magnets, and gifts inspired by Las Vegas history. At the same time, visitors can view artifact displays from both sides of the law.

These displays include items linked to the LAPD’s Gangster Squad, Mob-era Las Vegas, and the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. In addition, guests can step into the story themselves. They can take the oath of a “made” man and snap a mugshot in a police lineup.

As a result, the store feels interactive rather than traditional.

Museum Leaders Share Their Vision

“This store provides an introductory touchpoint,” said Jonathan Ullman, CEO and President of The Mob Museum. “It offers a glimpse into the stories and artifacts that await downtown.”

He added that the space aims to spark curiosity and invite exploration. For many travelers, it will serve as their first connection to the Museum.

Brian Ayala, Principal at Day One Group, said the partnership brings Las Vegas history directly to travelers. He noted that the store celebrates the city’s past while welcoming visitors from around the world.

James C. Chrisley, Clark County Director of Aviation, also praised the collaboration. He said the airport plays a key role in connecting travelers to the spirit of Las Vegas from the moment they arrive.

Store Hours and Availability

The Mob Museum Store is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Travelers can visit the store while departing, arriving, or connecting through the airport.
