Southern Nevada drivers struggling to pass emissions testing may soon get financial relief. Smog Free Clark County is hosting a community event on Wednesday, Dec. 10, where eligible residents can receive a $975 smog repair voucher to help fix their vehicles and return them to the road safely. The program is supported by Clark County’s Division of Air Quality through the Department of Environment & Sustainability.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Durango Hills Community Center, located at 3521 N. Durango Drive in Las Vegas. Staff members will guide attendees through the process, explain eligibility rules and provide information about repair options. As a result, residents can leave the event knowing exactly what steps to take next.

Helping Drivers Stay on the Road
The $975 smog repair voucher program has already made a measurable impact across the region. Since its launch in 2023, Smog Free Clark County has helped repair more than 1,600 vehicles. Because of that impact, the program continues to support both air quality and transportation needs throughout Southern Nevada.
“Since 2023, Smog Free Clark County has repaired more than 1,600 vehicles in Clark County,” said Jodi Bechtel, deputy director of Environment & Sustainability. “We love the impact this program has had; not only on improving local air quality but helping people get where they need to go.”
Who Should Attend
The Dec. 10 event is open to drivers whose vehicles fall between model years 1998 and 2006 and who recently failed an emissions test. These vehicles are the most likely to qualify for the $975 smog repair voucher, especially if they have documented test results.
What to Bring
To confirm eligibility, attendees should bring:
- A valid driver’s license
- A failed emissions test or Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR)
- The vehicle’s registration or title
With these documents, representatives can review each case quickly. Therefore, visitors can move through the process with ease.
What to Expect at the Event
Representatives from Smog Free Clark County and the County’s Division of Air Quality will be on-site to answer questions, explain the repair steps and help drivers understand how the $975 smog repair voucher can be used. Spanish-speaking staff members will also be available. For more details, residents can visit SmogFreeClarkCounty.com.
