Free Family Event at Deer Springs Park on May 17
The City of North Las Vegas and Clark County are teaming up to host a free Day in the Park community event. It happens Saturday, May 17 at Deer Springs Park, starting at 11 a.m.
Local leaders Commissioner William McCurdy II and Mayor Pro Tem Scott Black are inviting all residents to attend. This family-friendly event promises food, games, and exciting activities for all ages, making it a fabulous day in the park.

Food, Fun, and Family Time
This event is completely free to the public. To enhance your day, complimentary food will be served during the Day in the Park community event while supplies last. Kids and adults can expect games, interactive booths, and relaxing time outdoors during the community day in the park.
Commissioner McCurdy emphasized the event’s importance, stating it’s a great chance for community connection. “Day in the Park helps families come together and engage with local leaders in a welcoming setting,” he said.
Mayor Pro Tem Black also highlighted the event’s impact. “We’re proud to partner with Clark County to bring this to our neighborhoods,” he said. “These events build relationships and bring joy to local families.” The Day in the Park community event truly exemplifies this mission.
