Free Smog Repair Event Set for March 3 in Enterprise
Drivers in Southern Nevada who recently failed a smog test may qualify for financial help to fix their vehicles. Smog Free Clark County is offering repair vouchers worth up to $975 to eligible residents.
The program aims to reduce harmful vehicle emissions while helping drivers avoid costly repairs. In addition, officials will host a free public event on March 3 to guide residents through the process.
Program Targets Older Vehicles That Failed Emissions Tests
The repair voucher program focuses on older vehicles that often struggle to meet emissions standards. Specifically, it supports drivers with cars from model years 1998 through 2006.
To qualify, residents must have failed a recent emissions test and live in Clark County or the surrounding Southern Nevada area. Because of these requirements, the program directly targets vehicles that contribute more to air pollution.
As a result, the initiative improves air quality while helping drivers stay compliant with state regulations.
Free Event Will Help Residents Apply
To make the process easier, Smog Free Clark County will host an in-person event where residents can get assistance and answers.

When: Tuesday, March 3, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Enterprise Library, 7310 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas
During the event, representatives will explain how the program works and help attendees determine eligibility. In addition, Spanish-speaking staff will be available to assist more residents.
Documents Required for Eligibility
Officials encourage attendees to bring key documents to speed up the process. Without them, staff may not be able to confirm eligibility.
Residents should bring a valid driver’s license, a failed emissions test or Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), and vehicle registration or title. By bringing these items, applicants can move forward more quickly.
