Helloworld Travel just confirmed its 2026 Owner Manager Conference, known as the Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC, will be held in Cairns.
The four-day event will run June 11–14 at the Cairns Convention Centre. It will bring top travel leaders from across Australia and New Zealand. The announcement was made during the final session of the 2025 OMC in Vancouver. There, over 500 delegates were gathered for the closing remarks. Details about the Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC were eagerly anticipated.
A personal return to Far North Queensland
CEO Andrew Burnes AO revealed the choice of Cairns held deep personal meaning. In the late 1980s, he launched AOT (Australian Outback Travel) there. That small safari company offered rugged tours to Cape York and helped shape his career. Returning nearly 40 years later, Burnes described the location as the perfect place to bring Helloworld’s Owner Manager network together again. This marks a key moment for Helloworld Travel’s 2026 OMC.
He shared that the 2026 program will feature dynamic training, outdoor excursions, and exclusive business roundtables. Burnes emphasized the value of holding this year’s event in a region where travel still feels wild, inspiring, and full of possibility. This will indeed make Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC memorable.
Partnership boosts Queensland’s position
Tourism and Events Queensland is playing a major role in making this event possible. CEO Craig Davidson praised the partnership and described Cairns as a clear standout. He invited attendees to experience “That Holiday Feeling” while reminding them why Queensland remains a global leader in leisure travel.
Davidson added that this kind of exposure keeps the state top-of-mind when customers plan future trips. The timing is also ideal for reinforcing the value of domestic travel across both Australia and New Zealand, particularly with the upcoming Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC.
Cairns Convention Centre ready to deliver
Located between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, the Cairns Convention Centre will provide the perfect stage for high-level meetings. It will also be great for relaxed networking. Its natural beauty adds impact to every moment of the conference.
General Manager Janet Hamilton expressed excitement about hosting the OMC. She highlighted the Centre’s reputation for service, architecture, and sustainability as key reasons why Cairns stands out on the international events calendar. This aligns perfectly with the goals of Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC.
Major spotlight for regional tourism
Hosting the 2026 OMC is more than a calendar win. It positions Cairns as a business-ready, adventure-rich destination. Cairns is capable of leading national conversations in travel. This visibility supports long-term growth and brings new energy to operators across Tropical North Queensland, highlighted by the focus of Helloworld Travel 2026 OMC.
