One of Our Favorite Events to Cover Every Year in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive is currently underway and continues through Monday, December 15. This marks the final days of the 27th Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive. Supporting HELP of Southern Nevada, the event remains one of the most important and trusted holiday traditions in the city.
This is one of our favorite events to cover every year in Las Vegas because it delivers real, measurable impact. With just days remaining, community participation is more critical than ever as organizers prepare for final distributions.

A Las Vegas Holiday Tradition Making an Impact Right Now
Now in its twenty-seventh year, the Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive has grown into one of the largest toy donation efforts in Southern Nevada. The drive benefits HELP of Southern Nevada, which celebrates fifty-five years of service to low-income families, homeless youth, and individuals working toward stability.
As the Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive enters its final stretch, donations of toys, bikes, and gift cards directly determine how many local children will receive support this holiday season.

Chet Buchanan’s Commitment Fuels the Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive
Chet Buchanan once again leads the Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive from his twenty-foot scaffold, where he remains throughout the event. His continued presence keeps momentum high. It serves as a daily reminder of the importance of giving back.
Volunteers continue working around the clock. They sort donations, organize bicycles, manage traffic, and ensure the operation runs efficiently as the December 15 deadline approaches.

With only days remaining, donations made now allow HELP of Southern Nevada to fill last-minute gaps and respond to urgent needs ahead of final holiday distributions.
HELP of Southern Nevada’s Ongoing Work
HELP of Southern Nevada operates nine core departments and serves tens of thousands of individuals each year. Programs include Behavioral Health Services, Family Housing Services, Homeless Response Teams, Holiday Assistance, Weatherization, Workforce Services, and the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center.
The Las Vegas Holiday Toy Drive plays a critical role in strengthening these programs during the busiest time of the year.
