Las Vegas Gets Ready for the Cannabis Industry’s Biggest Week
Las Vegas, NV — Nov 19, 2025 — The countdown to MJBizCon 2025 has reached the two-week mark, and the city is preparing for a surge of cannabis leaders from around the world. The event runs December 3–5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with Pre-Show Forums on December 2. As thousands of operators, founders, retailers and investors head to Nevada, the industry is bracing for one of its most important gatherings of the year.
A Tough Year Pushes the Industry Toward New Strategy and Connection
Many cannabis companies struggled in 2025. Prices dropped, capital tightened and regulations shifted. As a result, leaders are looking for clarity and partnerships. According to Emilie Lewis, Senior Vice President and MJBiz Brand Leader, the timing of MJBizCon 2025 is crucial. She said the industry must stay visible, focused and connected. She also noted that the companies who push through challenging periods often emerge stronger when conditions improve.

Hosted Buyer Program Creates Direct Retailer–Brand Engagement
This year introduces the new Hosted Buyer Program. It brings high-intent retail buyers straight to exhibitors. Brands such as Green Thumb Industries (GTI), Village Farms, Fiji Weed Co and Billo Premium Cannabis will take part. The program offers scheduled one-on-one meetings, which helps both sides move faster and build relationships. Because of this, many exhibitors expect stronger deal flow during MJBizCon 2025.

NuWu Cannabis Takeover Extends Networking Across Las Vegas
Once the expo floor closes, the action moves to the NuWu Cannabis Courtyard. More than 40 exhibiting brands will host evening events throughout the week. “Flower Hour” runs Tuesday through Thursday from 5–7 PM. After that, themed brand activations continue from 7–11 PM. These experiences give attendees more time to connect, share ideas and explore new products. They also highlight how Las Vegas supports round-the-clock industry engagement during MJBizCon 2025.
Retail Buyers Can Qualify for Complimentary Expo Only Passes
In 2025, many retailers operated under tighter budgets. To support them, MJBiz expanded its complimentary Expo Only passes for qualified retail buyers. The offer allows dispensary operators and purchasing teams to attend without financial strain. As a result, more small and mid-sized retailers are expected to participate. They will gain access to new products, tech solutions, and top suppliers all in one place.
Media Day and Meet the Press Strengthen Industry Communication
This year brings more ways for brands and journalists to connect. The new Media Day takes place December 2 at NuWu. Reporters, podcasters and content creators will receive early access to interviews, product previews and live recordings. On December 4, Meet the Press begins at 10 AM inside the Grow Hub. The event allows exhibitors and attendees to pitch their stories directly to journalists from MJBizDaily, GreenState and other outlets. As a result, companies have more opportunities to shape industry coverage.
MJBowl Competition Showcases California and New York’s Top Products
The MJBowl Competition returns with a bi-coastal focus. Produced with Budist, it highlights standout products from both California and New York. Certified Ganjiers, journalists and industry critics judge entries using a unified scoring system. Their evaluations help ensure fairness and credibility. Winners will be announced December 4 during MJBizCon 2025, giving participating brands valuable visibility.
Indigenous Cannabis Village Highlights Tribal Leadership
The Indigenous Cannabis Village, powered by ICIA, will spotlight Tribal Nations and Indigenous-owned cannabis businesses. The Village offers education, advocacy discussions and cultural storytelling. It also provides a platform for entrepreneurs who want a larger role in the legal market. Many attendees view this space as one of the most meaningful additions to the show.
Business 101 Forum Gives New Operators a Strong Start
The Business 101 Pre-Conference Forum helps new entrants build a solid foundation. Experts will cover licensing, compliance, financing and brand development. They will also share common mistakes to avoid. This guidance can save new operators significant time and money as they prepare to launch in 2026.
Interactive Roundtables Deliver Practical and Focused Insight
This year’s roundtable track will be more interactive than ever. Moderators will lead discussions on cultivation, retail operations, supply chain improvements, hiring strategies and marketing challenges. The format encourages direct participation, and participants walk away with practical solutions they can implement right away. Because of this, the roundtables remain one of the most valued parts of the show.
Vic Mensa Takes the Mainstage for a Purpose-Driven Conversation
Chicago artist and entrepreneur Vic Mensa will headline a fireside chat on December 3. He will discuss the creation of his brand 93 Boyz and the mission behind it.
