Explore Clark County’s Interactive Play Art Exhibit

Play meets art across Clark County.

What residents will see

Clark County’s Temporary Play Art Exhibit brings large-scale, touchable artworks to neighborhood parks for 52 weeks. Residents can sit, crank, tap, and explore pieces designed to get people moving. In District G, six colossal football benches arrive as the newest stop. Each bench invites fans to rest, share photos, and spark game-day memories. Additionally, McCarran Marketplace Park features a hand-crank arch that pulses to a classic 1991 stadium anthem popularized in Space Jam. Families can turn the wheel together and feel the arch answer back in rhythm, which makes the park feel alive.

Where and when to go

Commissioner Jim Gibson will host a community opening on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. The football benches will be installed at Cannon Park and McCarran Marketplace Park, 5850 Euclid Ave. The District G installation runs August 15 through October 1. Meanwhile, Dog Island moves to District B at Bob Price Park, 5852 E Lake Mead Blvd, during the same dates. Visitors can stroll the path, discover playful canine-themed pieces, and engage with the friendly, temporary setup. Arrive early, bring friends, and plan time to explore both locations in one evening. Parking is close to each site, so access stays easy.

Why this exhibit matters

The Temporary Play Art Exhibit blends creativity, movement, and neighborhood pride. It turns casual park time into shared discovery. Moreover, it helps local public artists understand how small-scale, temporary work performs in real spaces. Community members test ideas with their feet and hands, not just their eyes. In turn, artists and the County gather real-world feedback that can shape future projects. The result is a living loop: art energizes people, and people inform the next round of art. Because installations rotate weekly across commission districts, more families get access without traveling far.

How LeMonde powers play

LeMonde Studio proposed the concept to the County in December 2024. The team specializes in human-powered and sustainable tech activations. Consequently, visitors become part of the artwork. A bench becomes a stage for conversation. A crank becomes a shared beat that echoes down the path. Furthermore, the approach highlights energy use in a subtle way. Guests feel power flow from their own movement, which turns learning into fun. That hands-on design keeps crowds engaged and builds neighbor-to-neighbor connections.

Plan your visit today

Bring water, charge your phone, and budget time for photos. Then try the arch at McCarran Marketplace Park, head to Cannon Park for the football benches, and finish at Bob Price Park for Dog Island before October 1. Because the route is flexible, you can tailor the evening to your family, your schedule, and your curiosity. Clark County invites everyone to come out, interact, and help shape what public art looks like in the years ahead through the Temporary Play Art Exhibit.
