Free Trees for Henderson Residents
The Community Canopy Project Henderson is giving away free trees this Saturday.
The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on November 8, 2025, at C.T. Sewell Elementary School, 700 E. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson.
This community event supports local families and promotes cooler, greener neighborhoods.
It is part of Stay Cool Clark County, an All-In Clark County program focused on reducing urban heat.
The Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability (DES) joined with the Arbor Day Foundation to organize the event.

About the Community Canopy Project Henderson
The Community Canopy Project Henderson helps residents plant shade trees to make neighborhoods cooler and more comfortable.
Trees reduce heat, clean the air, and make homes more energy efficient.
This fall, DES and the Arbor Day Foundation will distribute about 2,300 trees across Clark County.
Most trees will go to residents who registered early, but a limited number will be available for walk-ups.
Parents with children at C.T. Sewell Elementary can also receive a tree during the event.
The goal is to inspire families to plant trees and protect the environment together.
What to Expect
Visitors can watch the tree giveaway in action and see local leaders working alongside the public.
Tree experts will be on-site to share simple tips for planting and caring for new trees.
There will be many photo and video opportunities as residents pick up their trees and talk with staff.
