Harvesting Hope: Disability Awareness Festival in Las Vegas

Free Inclusive Event Celebrates Disability Awareness in Las Vegas

The Collaboration Center will host its 4th Annual Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair on Saturday, November 8, from 12 to 3 p.m. The free event takes place on the Collaboration Center campus at 8390 West Windmill Lane in Las Vegas. Families of all abilities are invited to attend an afternoon of fun, connection, and community support. The event highlights inclusion, raises disability awareness, and connects families with valuable resources available across Southern Nevada.

A Festival Focused on Connection and Inclusion

The Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair will feature activities and attractions designed for all ages and abilities. Guests can enjoy a sensory-friendly petting zoo, hands-on arts and crafts, and festive fall games. Families will also have access to dozens of community partners. They will provide information on healthcare, therapy, advocacy, and education. This includes adaptive sports, transportation, and more. The Collaboration Center offers ADA-friendly spaces and sensory areas for a comfortable experience for all.

Building Awareness Through Community

“For many families in the disability community, finding out what resources are available or how to access them can be overwhelming,” said Cindy Goussak, Executive Director of the Collaboration Center. “Harvesting Hope allows us to bring services and support systems together in one place, making it easier for families to connect and learn. Plus, they get to enjoy a fun fall afternoon on our campus.” The event reflects the organization’s mission to provide equitable access to essential resources. It fosters a sense of belonging for all.

Local Organizations Offer Resources and Support

This year’s Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair will include dozens of participating organizations representing a wide range of disability services. Groups like Best Buddies Nevada, GiGi’s Playhouse, Family Navigation Network, and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will share resources on-site. Additional partners include providers in healthcare, education, therapy, and advocacy. This ensures every family can find information tailored to their needs. The Collaboration Center aims to make it easier for families to discover programs. These services are designed to enhance independence and quality of life.

Collaboration Center’s Mission of Inclusion

Founded in 2019, the Collaboration Center is Nevada’s largest disability resource network. Through its Pathways Program, the organization connects those impacted by disabilities with the best available services. The Collaboration Center provides a shared campus for local providers and nonprofits. This creates a one-stop location for families to find the support they need. The annual Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair embodies this mission by bringing families, providers, and advocates together in a welcoming, inclusive setting.
