Charity Event Set for May 17 at Chicken N Pickle to Support Housing Programs
LAS VEGAS — HELP of Southern Nevada will bring community members together for a day of competition and charity at its third annual Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, May 17, at Chicken N Pickle.
The event welcomes players of all skill levels. Organizers will offer both social and competitive brackets. As a result, beginners and experienced players can participate in a fun and inclusive environment.

Tournament Format Combines Fun and Competition
The tournament will begin with check-in and warm-ups at 1:30 p.m. Matches will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Organizers have designed the event in two stages. First, teams will compete in a Round Robin format. Each team will play two to three mini games, with each game played to seven points. Therefore, every team gets multiple chances to compete.
Next, teams will advance to a Single Elimination round. Based on earlier results, organizers will seed teams into final brackets. This stage will determine both social and competitive champions.

Family-Friendly Event With Activities and Prizes
In addition to tournament play, the event will feature light bites, raffle prizes and team awards. Families can attend, and guests may also bring their dogs. Because of this welcoming setup, the event creates a relaxed and social atmosphere.
Those who do not want to play can still join the experience. Spectator tickets are available for $50. In addition, all proceeds will support HELP of Southern Nevada’s housing programs.

Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities Available
Participants can register online in advance. Organizers encourage early sign-ups, as interest is expected to grow.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and community partners. Interested parties can request details by contacting the organization directly.
Supporting Housing and Community Services
HELP of Southern Nevada provides services to low-income families, homeless youth and individuals in need. The organization focuses on helping clients achieve self-sufficiency through housing, workforce support and behavioral health services.
Through programs such as family housing assistance, homeless response teams and youth services, HELP reaches tens of thousands of clients each year. Therefore, fundraising events like the pickleball tournament play a key role in sustaining these efforts.
Ultimately, the May 17 event combines recreation with a meaningful cause, giving participants a chance to give back while enjoying a growing sport.
