LAS VEGAS (May 28, 2025) — United Way of Southern Nevada is hosting several important community events this summer and fall. These gatherings encourage local volunteers to make a meaningful impact. They aim to support vulnerable groups throughout the region.
Feminine hygiene kit build event on June 20
On June 20, volunteers will assemble feminine hygiene kits at Bottega Exchange (6675 S Tenaya Way #200, Las Vegas, NV). This event, part of the United Way of Southern Nevada, supports The Wellness Box, a nonprofit aiding women in need. Volunteers will prepare supplies like sanitary pads and wipes for distribution. Project REACH senior expos in August
The Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by NV Energy, will take place on August 19, 21, 26, and 28 at various locations. This program offers financial help to seniors 62 and older with overdue utility bills. Seniors need to bring proof of age and bills. Day of Caring on September 19
The annual Day of Caring, presented by PNC Bank, will occur September 19 at Town Square Park. The day starts at 8:30 a.m. After kickoff, volunteers will tackle nearly 40 projects, including food packing, park cleanups, and home repairs. Hundreds of people come together to support families, seniors, and students. Groups and individuals can register online. This event is part of the broader mission of the United Way of Southern Nevada.
