Community Tradition Begins December 4
The 27th Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive is returning to Las Vegas on December 4. The event supports HELP of Southern Nevada, which marks 55 years of serving families and individuals. The scale of the Las Vegas holiday toy drive continues to grow, and this year looks even stronger. As a result, more local children will receive the support they need during the holiday season.
Chet Buchanan Leads the Effort Again
Chet Buchanan will climb onto his 20-foot scaffold and remain there for 12 straight days. His annual commitment pushes the city into action. He greets donors, shares stories, and inspires people to give. Meanwhile, volunteers work nonstop to sort toys, load bikes, and organize gift cards. The Las Vegas holiday toy drive brings residents together, and the combined effort creates real impact.
Where the Community Can Donate
Donations will be accepted at the NV Energy parking lot at 6226 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas. The site runs from December 4 through December 15. Donors can bring new and unwrapped toys, bikes, and gift cards. The location stays busy every day, yet volunteers guide cars quickly to keep the process easy.
Donation hours:
- Monday – Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 15: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
These long hours give everyone a chance to help. Many families stop by after work. Others visit in the early morning. The flexible schedule strengthens the reach of the Las Vegas holiday toy drive and increases the flow of needed supplies.
More Ways to Support
Some residents may not have time to travel to the drop-off site. However, they can still contribute. HELP of Southern Nevada accepts online donations, and supporters can also text 2025TOYDRIVE to 76278 to give instantly. These funds allow the nonprofit to purchase missing items and fill urgent requests. In addition, people can volunteer by emailing volunteer@helpsonv.org. Volunteers lift, sort, direct traffic, and help families find the right resources.
Anyone seeking help can go to helpsonv.org for services and holiday support.
HELP of Southern Nevada Continues Its Mission
HELP of Southern Nevada provides programs for low-income families, homeless youth, and people working toward stability. The organization operates nine departments and serves tens of thousands every year. Programs include Behavioral Health Services, Family Housing Services, Homeless Response Teams, Holiday Assistance, Weatherization, Workforce Services, and the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. These services create real change, and the Las Vegas holiday toy drive strengthens that mission during the busiest time of the year.
Audacy’s Role in Community Engagement
Audacy continues to lead in local audio content across the United States. The company reaches more than 170 million people each month. Its radio stations, podcasts, digital platforms, and live events connect communities nationwide. The KLUC Toy Drive remains one of its most successful community efforts, and the partnership keeps the event growing.
A Season of Support and Celebration
Las Vegas enters the holiday season with energy and generosity. The KLUC Toy Drive inspires families, companies, and schools to give. Moreover, each donation creates a direct and meaningful impact. The effort shows how strong the city becomes when people unite for a shared cause. The 27th annual event promises another powerful year of giving, and the Las Vegas holiday toy drive continues to stand as one of the city’s most trusted holiday traditions.
