Cutting-Edge Technology Enhancements
Recognizing the importance of seamless communication, Mandalay Bay has integrated state-of-the-art technology upgrades throughout the convention center. Highlights include the installation of advanced Cat6A Ethernet cabling, which doubles data transmission frequencies and provides speeds up to 9400% faster than before. The convention center now features 11 dynamic digital walls, up to 24′ x 13′, ideal for brand placements, sponsorships, and event messaging. Additionally, 20 double-sided 55″ mobile display units facilitate easy navigation for attendees, while RFID locks and over 200 motion detection cameras ensure security and convenience.
A Fresh, Inviting Design
The newly remodeled convention space at Mandalay Bay now exudes a bright and vibrant atmosphere that aligns with the resort’s tropical-inspired brand. The MGM Resorts International Design Group, in collaboration with Dezmotif Studios, has conceptualized a contemporary design that includes enhanced lighting, streamlined signage, and inviting seating areas. The space features white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, complemented by warm walnut accent walls. All pre-function spaces, meeting rooms, and ballrooms have been rejuvenated, and the 1 million square feet of exhibit space now boasts new paint, covered pillars, and relocated strobe lights.
Celebrating Art and Culture
Mandalay Bay’s commitment to promoting diverse and underrepresented artists is evident in its corporate Fine Art program. The convention center now showcases captivating new works by artists such as Thandiwe Muriu and Sarah Anne Johnson, adding an enriching cultural dimension to the space.
Enhancing the Integrated Resort Experience
Beyond the convention center, Mandalay Bay is undergoing a series of dynamic upgrades and new venue openings to further elevate the client experience. These developments include the remodel of all 424 rooms and suites at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, the openings of restaurants such as Orla by Michael Mina and Caramá by Wolfgang Puck, and the introduction of Swingers, a high-end mini golf and cocktail concept. Additionally, the immersive Bob Marley Hope Road experience will debut in late 2024, honoring the legendary musician.
