Fire Breaks Out in South Las Vegas Just After 8:30 PM
Las Vegas, NV – On April 3, 2025 – A vacant home caught fire Thursday night on the 2600 block of East Warm Springs Road. At 8:30 PM, fire dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a visible blaze.
Firefighters from Clark Country Fire Department arrived at the scene by 8:36 PM. Flames had already taken over the entire structure.
Crews Respond Fast to Fully Involved Fire
Fire units found a single-story, single-family home completely engulfed. The house was vacant.
Due to the heavy fire load, crews launched a defensive fire attack. That method helped contain the flames to the original structure.
The fire was brought under control by 8:59 PM, just 23 minutes after crews arrived.
Over 30 Personnel Battled the Fire
A total of 32 fire personnel responded to the incident. The multi-unit response included:
- 5 engine companies
- 1 ladder truck
- 2 rescue units
- 1 air resource unit
- 2 battalion chiefs
Each team played a vital role in suppressing the flames and preventing spread to nearby properties.
No Injuries Reported During Operation
Thankfully, no civilians or firefighters suffered any injuries.
Crews followed strict safety protocols throughout the operation. Their quick action limited damage and protected surrounding homes.
Fire Cause Still Under Investigation
Investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire.
Although the home was vacant, fires in empty buildings often result from illegal entry, faulty wiring, or accidental ignition.
The total estimated damage ranges from $100,000 to $250,000. Officials will update the figure once the full report is completed.
Fire in Vacant Homes Remains a Risk
Vacant homes present unique challenges. These buildings can attract trespassers and may go unnoticed during early stages of a fire.
However, rapid calls from neighbors and strong response coordination helped stop this fire before it could spread.
The fire at 2675 E. Warm Springs Road is now out. Investigators continue working on the case, and fire crews remain ready for whatever comes next.
