The Mob Museum Celebrates Caesars Palace’s 60th Anniversary With Exciting August Events

LAS VEGAS — The Mob Museum is inviting visitors to experience one of its busiest months of the year with a lineup of special events, exclusive offers and immersive attractions throughout August. The month’s featured program celebrates the 60th anniversary of Caesars Palace while introducing unique experiences that blend Las Vegas history, entertainment and community partnerships.

The award-winning museum continues to expand its programming with educational events, special promotions and interactive exhibits that appeal to both locals and tourists.

Caesars Palace anniversary program headlines August

The month’s signature event is “Not Built in a Day: The Epic Story of Caesars Palace,” scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6.

The evening panel will feature Jay Sarno Jr., son of Caesars Palace founder Jay Sarno, longtime Caesars executive Bill Weinberger Jr. and UNLV gaming historian David G. Schwartz. Together, they will explore the creation of Caesars Palace and its lasting impact on Las Vegas.

Guests will hear stories about the resort’s famous 1966 opening, its celebrity history and the vision that transformed it into one of the world’s best-known casino resorts. The discussion takes place inside The Mob Museum’s historic courtroom and concludes with a book signing. Museum members and guests with general admission may attend at no additional cost.

Local visitors can enjoy exclusive summer offers

Nevada residents can also take advantage of special promotions throughout August.

Every Monday through Wednesday, locals receive buy one, get one free general admission with a valid Nevada ID. The promotion continues through Aug. 31 and gives residents another reason to explore one of Las Vegas’ most popular museums.

Guests can purchase “The Big Boss” package. The limited-time offer includes two Museum admissions, two drinks inside The Underground Speakeasy, complimentary parking and two souvenir photos.

The package combines several of the Museum’s most popular experiences into one affordable visit.

Beer tastings and Mob Month return

Beer lovers have another reason to visit this summer.

The Untapped Story beer tasting experience continues through Aug. 31. During the guided tour, guests sample craft beers while learning how Prohibition influenced organized crime, brewing history and the development of Las Vegas.

Participants visit several museum exhibits and the award-winning distillery while enjoying professionally guided tastings.

Meanwhile, The Mob Museum has partnered with The Beverly Theater for its annual Mob Month celebration.

On Aug. 26, Vice President of Research, Collections and Programs Geoff Schumacher will introduce Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas. After the screening, he will separate fact from fiction during a special audience discussion. Throughout August, guests visiting either venue can also receive reciprocal 20% discounts.

Classic Las Vegas remains on display

Visitors can also explore the temporary exhibit “Filmed in Las Vegas: America’s Playground on the Silver Screen.”

The exhibit features original movie posters, lobby cards and memorabilia from classic films including Ocean’s 11 and Viva Las Vegas. Additionally, displays highlight how Las Vegas became one of Hollywood’s favorite filming locations during the city’s golden era.

The Mob Museum continues offering four floors of interactive exhibits, authentic artifacts and immersive storytelling. Whether guests enjoy Las Vegas history, organized crime stories or unique cultural experiences, August provides one of the Museum’s strongest event calendars of the year.
