Ukrainian Designers Achieve Major Success at Milan Fashion Week

Success at Milan Fashion Week: Ukrainian Designers Shine Bright

The recently concluded Milan Fashion Week, held from June 17-21, 2024, was a resounding success for Ukrainian designers, thanks to the efforts of Jen Sidary, founder of Angel for Fashion. This event showcased the remarkable talent of seven Ukrainian brands, garnering significant attention and immediate orders from international retailers.

Triumph in Milan The pre-collection showcase in Milan was a major hit, with all seven featured brands—Gasanova, Gudu, Gunia Project, Novitska, Omelia, Theo, and HVOYA—securing orders from the showroom. This achievement highlights the growing demand and appreciation for Ukrainian fashion on the global stage.

Key Partnerships and Orders One of the standout successes was a new partnership with a retailer from Paris who traveled to Milan specifically to include Ukrainian brands in her new store, Delano, located at Résidence Ghita rue Ali abderrazak Casablanca, Morocco. She placed immediate orders for Gasanova, Gudu, Gunia Project, Novitska, Omelia, and Theo, which were swiftly fulfilled from Kyiv.

Another significant development was the support from Dofamin, a luxury retailer from Chisinau, Moldova. Owner Evghenia Gruzdeva visited Milan to place additional orders, expanding her collection to include Gunia Project, HVOYA, and Theo, in addition to Gudu and Omelia, which were already part of her store’s offerings.

Ongoing Growth and Expectations The success of the Milan showcase has led to a flurry of further orders. Angel for Fashion continues to process these orders and anticipates sustained interest and additional orders throughout August.
