LAS VEGAS — Summer is quickly winding down, but visitors still have time to experience one of the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum’s most unique seasonal attractions. The Art & Science of Arachnids, America’s largest traveling arachnid exhibition, will remain on display through Aug. 23, giving families, students and curious explorers the chance to discover the remarkable world of spiders, scorpions and their closest relatives.
The interactive exhibition combines science, education and art. As a result, guests can enjoy an engaging experience while learning about creatures that often inspire both fascination and fear.
Live arachnids take center stage
Unlike traditional museum displays, this traveling exhibition allows visitors to observe live arachnids in carefully designed educational habitats. Moreover, guests can view larger-than-life sculptures, artistic installations and interactive exhibits that explain how these animals survive in environments around the world.
Museum officials hope the exhibit helps replace myths with facts. Instead of focusing on fear, visitors discover the important role arachnids play in healthy ecosystems and biodiversity.
Educational displays explain how spiders and scorpions have influenced medicine, conservation efforts and scientific research for decades.
Art and science come together
One feature that sets the exhibition apart is its blend of biology and creativity. Throughout the gallery, visitors will find artwork inspired by arachnids alongside exhibits exploring their impact on film, folklore and literature.
The experience appeals to far more than science enthusiasts. Artists, photographers and families can also appreciate the exhibit’s creative storytelling while learning about the natural world.
The exhibition was produced by Little Ray’s Exhibitions, an organization recognized for creating immersive educational experiences presented at museums throughout North America.
Weekly talks add even more learning
Every Friday at noon, museum educators host the popular Arachnid Talk! program. During these interactive presentations, visitors can take a closer look at live arachnids while learning about their unique adaptations, hunting techniques and ecological importance.
Museum staff answer questions and provide demonstrations designed for guests of all ages. These weekly programs offer an additional opportunity to connect with experts and gain a deeper understanding of these remarkable animals.
A summer attraction for the entire family
The exhibition is included with regular museum admission, making it an affordable outing before the summer season comes to an end. Adult admission is $14, while students, seniors and military members receive discounted admission for $12. Children ages 3 through 11 are admitted for $7. Nevada residents can also receive additional discounts with valid identification.
The Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum remains open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving visitors plenty of opportunities to experience the exhibit before its final day on Aug. 23.

Founded in 1989, the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum has grown into one of Southern Nevada’s leading educational institutions. Today, the nonprofit museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate, an accredited member of the American Alliance of Museums and a federal and state repository for fossils and artifacts.
Its galleries explore everything from prehistoric life and desert ecosystems to marine habitats and African wildlife. Therefore, the museum continues to serve as a destination where science, history and discovery come together for visitors of every generation.
