All In Aviation is giving aspiring pilots a rare chance to take the controls. On Tuesday, August 19, the premier Southern Nevada flight school will offer free flight demos in its state-of-the-art ALSIM simulator to celebrate National Aviation Day. The one-day event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. at their Henderson Executive Airport location.
Guests ages 15 and up can experience professional flight training in a real FAA-certified simulator used by licensed pilots. Each session is hands-on and mirrors the feel of flying a Cirrus SR aircraft, complete with wrap-around visuals and Garmin avionics. Reservations are first-come, first-served and must be booked in advance.

Advanced flight experience inside the ALSIM ALSR20
The ALSIM ALSR20 is more than a flight simulator. It’s an FAA-approved Flight Training Device that replicates the cockpit, controls, and environmental visuals of a real Cirrus SR20 aircraft. The system includes a 270-degree wrap-around screen, ALSIM’s force-feedback controls, and a fully immersive Cirrus G6 interior.
Participants will not only pilot the simulator, but also tour All In Aviation’s training facility and aircraft fleet. Each session includes a sit-down with certified instructors, allowing guests to ask questions about flight paths, licenses, and aviation careers.
A powerful introduction to careers in aviation
This National Aviation Day event is more than entertainment—it’s designed to inspire future pilots. According to All In Aviation’s Director of Flight Operations Carl May, many teens don’t realize they can legally solo an aircraft at 16 and earn a full license the same year.
By introducing youth and adults to this level of simulator training, All In Aviation hopes to spark serious interest in aviation careers. The simulator time also counts toward actual training hours, helping students progress toward their private pilot license or instrument rating.
Free experience, real training value
Each free simulator flight experience includes:
- A flight demo in the ALSIM ALSR20
- A guided tour of the facility and aircraft fleet
- Program details for becoming a licensed pilot
- One-on-one time with certified instructors
These demos showcase how accessible flight training has become. The simulator time is recognized by the FAA, which means it can be logged toward real certifications. Whether you’re a student, a career-switcher, or simply curious, this event offers a legitimate step into the world of aviation.
First-come reservations encouraged
Only a limited number of demo sessions are available during the three-hour event. Attendees must be at least 15 years old and reserve in advance. Interested participants can call 702-ALL-IN22 or visit allinaviation.com to register.
All In Aviation is the only independent flight school in the U.S. with the ALSIM ALSR20 model. The simulator helps lower costs for students while increasing training quality. It also enhances safety by allowing pilots to practice emergency scenarios in a risk-free environment.
More than a school—an aviation hub
In addition to training new pilots, All In Aviation operates as a Cirrus Aircraft partner and repair center, offering services that include:
- Private and commercial flight training
- Aircraft rental and management
- Transition training for Cirrus owners
- Sales, storage, maintenance, and parts
Their two locations—Henderson Executive Airport and North Las Vegas Airport—serve both beginner and advanced students. Training is available in Cirrus and Cessna aircraft, all equipped with modern avionics, full glass panels, and airframe parachutes for enhanced safety.
Fly before you drive
One of the unique messages All In Aviation promotes is that teens can fly solo before they ever get a driver’s license. Private pilot training is open to all ages starting at 15. Students complete 40+ hours of flight time, both in-air and in-class, before becoming certified.
For National Aviation Week, the team hopes to show just how reachable those goals are. This event offers a rare opportunity for locals to step into the cockpit, speak with instructors, and consider a future in flight.
