Clark County Clerk and Vegas Wedding Chamber to provide free weddings and vow renewals for military families
LAS VEGAS – June 2026 — The Vegas Wedding Chamber and the Office of the Clark County Clerk have officially launched the return of “Vegas Marries the Military,” a community initiative honoring veterans and active-duty service members with free Las Vegas weddings and vow renewals.
The annual program invites military couples from all branches of the armed forces to submit their love stories, photos, and military service backgrounds for the chance to receive one of six fully donated wedding experiences in the Wedding Capital of the World.
Organizers said this year’s celebration will take place on Nov. 10 across multiple wedding venues throughout Clark County.

Military couples can apply through July 4
Military couples interested in participating may enter the contest now through July 4.
The Vegas Wedding Chamber will select six winning couples to receive customized Las Vegas wedding ceremonies or vow renewals complete with receptions, photography, décor, entertainment, and additional services donated by local wedding industry professionals.
This year’s event will include individual ceremonies followed by a group reception at the Vegas Event Center.
Organizers said the reception will feature a buffet dinner, wedding cake, live DJ, professional photography, and surprise appearances from local dignitaries and community leaders.
The selected couples will also have the opportunity to invite close family members and friends to participate in the celebration.

Local wedding industry donates services
The Vegas wedding industry continues supporting the initiative through donated services and sponsorships.
Wedding vendors participating in the program include officiants, florists, makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, transportation providers, and hotel partners.
Community members and businesses can still participate by donating additional goods and services for the event.

Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said the program reflects the generosity and compassion of the Las Vegas wedding community.
“What makes this initiative so meaningful is that it reflects the generosity and heart of the Wedding Capital of the World,” Goya said.
She added that local wedding professionals work hard to create unforgettable experiences for military couples and their families.
Las Vegas wedding industry continues major economic impact
Las Vegas remains one of the world’s largest wedding destinations.
According to the Clark County Clerk’s Office, more than 70,000 marriage licenses were issued in 2025 alone. Wedding tourism also generates billions of dollars in annual economic activity across Southern Nevada.
The region’s wedding industry supports hotels, restaurants, photographers, entertainers, transportation providers, florists, and numerous local businesses throughout the year.
Officials said “Vegas Marries the Military” highlights both the economic and emotional importance of the wedding industry in Las Vegas.

Wedding Capital of the World continues tradition
For decades, Las Vegas has attracted couples seeking everything from quick elopements to luxury wedding celebrations.
The city’s wedding industry continues evolving while maintaining its reputation for accessible, memorable, and unique ceremonies.
Organizers said the military initiative represents an important opportunity to give back to veterans and active-duty service members while showcasing the hospitality and creativity of the local wedding industry.
