Greenerwave and Telespazio France have signed a strategic agreement to distribute a new generation of satellite communication terminals across Europe’s defense and government sectors.
The agreement focuses on deploying low-power, multi-orbit SATCOM terminals designed for secure and resilient communications. Company officials said the partnership supports growing demand for sovereign European technology in critical infrastructure and government operations.
Partnership Targets Government and Defense Markets
Under the agreement, Telespazio France will distribute Greenerwave’s satellite communication terminals across France, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
The terminals support both GEO and LEO satellite networks, allowing users to switch between multiple orbital systems. Because of this capability, operators can maintain communication continuity during critical operations.
The companies said the partnership combines Greenerwave’s antenna technology with Telespazio France’s experience in satellite services and infrastructure operations.
Focus on European Technology and Sovereignty
The agreement comes as European governments increase investment in sovereign communications systems. Officials across the region continue to emphasize the importance of reducing dependence on non-European technology providers.
Because of this shift, demand has increased for systems designed and developed within Europe. The companies said the partnership supports broader efforts to strengthen Europe’s technological autonomy.

SATCOM Technology Designed for Lower Energy Use
Greenerwave’s terminals are built around Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface technology, often referred to as RIS. The system controls electromagnetic waves using software-driven surfaces instead of traditional mechanical components.
Because of this design, the terminals require less energy and fewer semiconductors than conventional satellite antennas.
The company said the technology allows antennas to remain flat while electronically steering signals in real time. As a result, systems can maintain high-performance connectivity while reducing overall power consumption.
Industry analysts continue to monitor the development of low-power satellite systems as energy efficiency becomes a larger focus in telecommunications infrastructure.
Multi-Orbit Networks Gain Industry Attention
Satellite communications providers increasingly support multi-orbit systems that combine geostationary and low Earth orbit networks.

Telespazio France operates as part of the Leonardo and Thales joint venture network. The company maintains operations in Toulouse, Bordeaux, Paris, and Kourou.
In addition, it provides infrastructure support at the Guiana Space Centre, where it manages maintenance and operational services.
Greenerwave, based in France, focuses on electromagnetic wave control and advanced communications technology. The company has offices in Paris, Toulouse, and Sophia Antipolis.
Demand for Secure Communications Continues to Grow
Government agencies and defense operators continue to prioritize secure communication systems. Concerns over infrastructure security and operational reliability have increased demand for resilient satellite networks.
