Summer campaign aims to provide bottled water and relief during dangerous Southern Nevada heat
LAS VEGAS – May 22, 2026 — HELP of Southern Nevada will launch its 15th annual HELP2O Water and Weather Drive on May 25th as the nonprofit prepares to support vulnerable residents during another intense Southern Nevada summer.
The campaign will continue through Sept. 7 and focuses on collecting bottled water for people experiencing homelessness across the Las Vegas Valley. Organizers say the drive arrives at a critical time as temperatures continue to climb into triple digits across the region.
Community members can donate bottled water at HELP of Southern Nevada’s Framing Hope Warehouse, located on East Flamingo Road. The warehouse will accept donations Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, residents can support the effort during select Las Vegas Aviators games between June 1 and July 12.

Extreme heat raises concern across the Valley
Southern Nevada continues to face dangerous summer heat conditions each year. As a result, local outreach groups have increased efforts to provide hydration and weather-related support to people living on the streets.
HELP of Southern Nevada said access to clean drinking water remains one of the most urgent needs during the summer months. The organization noted that heat-related illness and deaths among unhoused individuals have continued to rise across the Valley.
Because of this, organizers say community participation in the HELP2O campaign remains essential. The nonprofit plans to distribute donated water directly to individuals and families in need throughout Southern Nevada.
Abby Quinn, chief community relations officer for HELP of Southern Nevada, said the organization sees the impact of extreme heat every summer.
“Each summer, Southern Nevada’s extreme heat creates serious and often life-threatening challenges for individuals experiencing homelessness across our community,” Quinn said. “Through the HELP2O Water Drive, we are committed to providing life-saving hydration and other essential resources while continuing to support individuals on their path toward stability and housing.”

Multiple donation opportunities planned this summer
HELP of Southern Nevada expanded donation opportunities this year in an effort to increase public involvement. In addition to warehouse drop-offs, the nonprofit will partner with local events and businesses throughout the campaign.
The organization will collect donations during Las Vegas Aviators home games over a six-week period this summer. Meanwhile, supporters can also participate through the Water Extravaganza campaign hosted with 97.1 The Point and Lotus Broadcasting.
The campaign will include donation opportunities at the participating Smith’s location on East Lake Mead Boulevard. Organizers hope these partnerships will make donating easier and increase awareness about the growing need for heat relief resources.
In addition to bottled water, the nonprofit will also accept financial donations online. HELP of Southern Nevada said monetary support allows the organization to respond quickly to urgent community needs throughout the summer.

Long-running program continues community outreach
The HELP2O campaign has become one of the nonprofit’s largest seasonal outreach efforts. Over the past 15 years, the drive has helped distribute thousands of bottles of water during periods of extreme heat.
Organizers say the annual campaign highlights the importance of community action during the summer months. Volunteers and donors play a major role in helping outreach teams provide support across the Valley.
HELP of Southern Nevada operates several programs focused on homelessness prevention, housing support, workforce services, and youth assistance. The nonprofit serves tens of thousands of clients each year through direct programs and referrals.
The organization currently operates nine departments and employs more than 160 staff members across Southern Nevada. Services include behavioral health programs, homeless response teams, family housing services, weatherization assistance, and support for homeless youth.
Community support remains critical
As summer temperatures continue to rise, outreach organizations across Las Vegas expect demand for water and emergency supplies to increase. HELP of Southern Nevada said every donation helps protect vulnerable residents during periods of dangerous heat.
The nonprofit encouraged residents, businesses, and community groups to take part in the drive over the coming months. Organizers said even small donations can make a meaningful difference for people facing extreme outdoor conditions.
