Interstellar Arc at AREA15 will host a 10-day “Space Week” event from May 1 through May 10, offering a mix of virtual reality experiences and educational programming tied to national space-themed observances.
The event coincides with National Space Day on May 1 and National Astronaut Day on May 5. Organizers said the timing reflects renewed public interest in space exploration, including NASA’s Artemis II mission.

Event Focuses on Interactive Space Exploration
The “Space Week” program is designed for visitors ages 8 to 17. It uses virtual reality to introduce participants to concepts related to space travel and exploration.
Guests who attend during the event will receive themed materials, including an “Interstellar Explorer” laminate and a Mission Crest pin. In addition, the experience centers on guided storytelling within a simulated space environment.
Because of this format, the attraction blends entertainment with education. Visitors move through digital environments while learning about space science concepts.

Special VR Experience Added for Limited Time
From May 2 through May 10, the venue will offer an additional virtual reality experience during select afternoon hours. Guests between the ages of 8 and 17 who arrive between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. will receive access to an eight-minute tour of the International Space Station.
The VR segment was produced by Felix & Paul Studios in partnership with NASA and TIME Studios. It includes 3D, 360-degree footage captured in space.
Because of this feature, participants can view low Earth orbit from an astronaut’s perspective. Organizers said the experience aims to provide a more direct understanding of space environments.

Promotion Expands Access for Local Visitors
During the event period, first-time guests may also sign up for a 10% discount on ticket purchases. Additional discounts will be available for Nevada residents, veterans, and children within the target age group.
These offers are intended to increase accessibility during the promotion. As a result, organizers expect higher attendance from both tourists and local families.
The venue said the program aligns with broader efforts to make science-related attractions more accessible to younger audiences.

Summer Program to Follow in June
Following “Space Week,” the venue will launch a separate summer promotion beginning June 1. The “Interstellar Explorer” program will run through Aug. 9 and will offer reduced ticket pricing for children ages 8 to 17.
Participants in the summer program will receive the same themed materials along with the International Space Station VR experience. In addition, they will take home a NASA Star Wheel kit designed for continued learning.
Because of this extended program, the venue aims to maintain engagement beyond the initial event window.
Experience Built Around Immersive Technology
Interstellar Arc is a virtual reality attraction that places visitors in a future space exploration setting. The experience simulates a journey to another planet, allowing participants to move through digital environments guided by an artificial intelligence system.
The attraction is part of the broader AREA15 complex. The venue includes multiple interactive exhibits and entertainment concepts.
Because of its location, Interstellar Arc benefits from steady visitor traffic throughout the year. It also draws interest from both tourists and local residents.
Growing Interest in Space-Themed Experiences
The launch of “Space Week” reflects a wider trend in entertainment and education. Space exploration has gained renewed attention due to recent developments in government and private sector missions.
As a result, venues are introducing programs that connect visitors to these topics. Virtual reality has become a key tool in delivering those experiences.
Organizers said the goal is to create an environment where visitors can engage with space exploration in a hands-on way.
Visitor Access and Hours
Interstellar Arc operates daily from noon to 9 p.m. Parking is available on-site, with free parking offered to Nevada residents.
Tickets for the experience are available online. Organizers recommend booking in advance, especially during the promotional period.
