LAS VEGAS — The Mob Museum is rolling out a full schedule of events and special offers this July. Visitors can enjoy exclusive programs, discounted admission, new exhibits and immersive experiences throughout the month. The downtown Las Vegas attraction continues to be one of Nevada’s most popular museums.

Former drug kingpin shares story of redemption
One of the month’s headline events takes place on July 15. Former college football player Owen Hanson will discuss his remarkable journey from athlete to international drug trafficker and, ultimately, business owner. The event will be held inside the museum’s historic courtroom and will conclude with a book signing.
Hanson once played on national championship football teams at the University of Southern California. However, he later built a criminal enterprise involving drug trafficking, sports betting and money laundering. Authorities eventually arrested him, leading to nearly a decade behind bars. Today, Hanson focuses on entrepreneurship and public speaking.
Museum members can attend the program free of charge. General admission also includes access to the event.

America 250 discount available all month
The Mob Museum is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a special admission offer. Throughout July, guests can save 25% on admission by using the code “America250.” The discount is available online and at the museum box office.
Additionally, soccer fans can receive extra savings through July 22. Guests who wear any soccer jersey can receive $10 off museum admission and $2 off a draft beer at The Underground speakeasy.
These promotions give visitors several affordable ways to experience one of Las Vegas’ most unique attractions.

New artifact arrives from the film “Casino”
Movie fans will find a new piece of Hollywood history inside the museum.
The Mob Museum recently added an animatronic prop used in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film “Casino.” The prop represented actor Joe Pesci during one of the movie’s most memorable scenes. Visitors can now view the artifact inside the museum’s “Mob’s Greatest Hits” exhibit.
The display connects visitors to both organized crime history and one of Las Vegas’ most famous films.

Beer tasting experience offers a new way to explore
The museum is also offering “The Untapped Story: A Beer Tasting Experience.”
Available weekdays through Aug. 31, the guided experience combines history, storytelling and craft beer tastings. Participants learn how Prohibition helped fuel organized crime while sampling curated beers throughout the museum. The tour also includes access to the distillery and a commemorative pint glass.
Furthermore, guests can purchase the limited-time “Big Boss” package. The offer includes museum admission for two people, drinks at The Underground speakeasy, free parking and souvenir photos.
Visitors can also explore the museum’s newest temporary exhibit, “Filmed in Las Vegas: America’s Playground on the Silver Screen.” The exhibit showcases movie posters and memorabilia from classic films shot in Las Vegas.
Special programs, new exhibits and summer discounts, The Mob Museum offers one of the most engaging cultural experiences in Las Vegas this July.
