LAS VEGAS — Military members and veterans now have more time to share their love stories and compete for a dream wedding in the Wedding Capital of the World.
The Clark County Clerk’s Office and the Vegas Wedding Chamber have extended the application deadline for the annual “Vegas Marries the Military” contest until Sunday, July 12. The popular community initiative honors active-duty military personnel and veterans by providing six couples with fully donated Las Vegas wedding ceremonies or vow renewals.
Couples interested in participating can submit their love stories, photographs and military service backgrounds for consideration. Organizers will select six winning couples representing various branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The celebration will take place on Nov. 10 and will feature personalized wedding ceremonies throughout Clark County followed by a special group reception at the Vegas Event Center.

Community comes together to honor military families
Each year, wedding professionals from across Southern Nevada donate their time, talent and services to create unforgettable experiences for military couples.
This year’s celebration will include fully donated wedding ceremonies, reception services and numerous special amenities. In addition, winning couples may invite close family members and friends to share in the celebration.
The reception will feature a buffet dinner, wedding cake, live entertainment, professional photography, custom décor and surprise appearances from community leaders and local dignitaries.
Organizers say the event demonstrates the generosity and appreciation of the Las Vegas wedding industry while honoring the sacrifices made by military families.

Wedding industry seeks additional volunteers
The Vegas Wedding Chamber is also encouraging more wedding and hospitality professionals to participate in this year’s program.
Officiants, photographers, florists, makeup artists, hairstylists, transportation providers, hotels and other wedding-related businesses can volunteer their services to support the event.
Consequently, participating vendors have an opportunity to thank military members while helping create meaningful memories for deserving couples.
The initiative continues to grow each year because of the strong support from Southern Nevada businesses and community organizations.

Clark County celebrates a meaningful tradition
Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said the event remains one of the most rewarding collaborations within the local wedding industry.
“‘Vegas Marries the Military’ is one of the most meaningful examples of what our wedding community can accomplish when we come together,” Goya said.
She noted that every donated service represents a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the men and women who have served the nation.
Furthermore, Goya encouraged additional wedding professionals to join the effort and help create extraordinary celebrations for military couples.

Las Vegas remains the Wedding Capital of the World
Las Vegas continues to hold its reputation as one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations.
The Clark County Marriage License Bureau issued more than 70,000 marriage licenses during 2025. As a result, Southern Nevada remains one of the busiest wedding destinations anywhere in the world.
For more than a century, couples have traveled to Las Vegas for everything from spontaneous ceremonies to elaborate celebrations attended by hundreds of guests.
Meanwhile, initiatives such as “Vegas Marries the Military” highlight the community spirit that continues to define the local wedding industry.
Organizers hope the extended deadline will encourage more military couples to share their stories and participate in this year’s celebration.
Military couples and interested vendors can submit applications before the July 12 deadline through the official Wedding Capital of the World and Vegas Wedding Chamber websites.
