Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures will host the second annual floating Easter egg hunt on Friday, April 3. The family-friendly event will take place inside the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
The one-day event invites guests to join a 12-mile rafting journey along the Colorado River while searching for giant Easter eggs hidden along the riverbank.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and combines outdoor adventure with a seasonal holiday activity.
Floating Easter egg hunt along the Colorado River
During the rafting trip, guests will float through the canyon below Hoover Dam.
Along the route, participants will search for 12 jumbo Easter eggs placed along the shoreline. Each mile of the journey will feature one egg positioned in visible locations.
As a result, guests can enjoy both the scenic landscape and the interactive egg hunt during the rafting experience.
Participants are encouraged to photograph all 12 eggs during the trip.
Social media photo contest and prize
Guests who capture photos of the eggs can enter a social media contest.
Participants may upload their images to Instagram, Facebook or TikTok. They must tag both Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures and Willow Beach Marina.
The contest runs from April 3 through April 11, and organizers will announce the winner on April 15.
The prize is a pontoon boat rental on either Lake Mead or Lake Mohave.
Easter gift bags for participants
In addition to the egg hunt, every guest will receive an Easter gift bag at the end of the rafting journey.
The bags include candy and specialty items provided by Lake Mead Mohave Adventures.
Tickets and reservations
Tickets for the rafting Easter event cost $75 per person, plus a $15 National Park Service pass and fees.
Because space is limited, reservations are required.
The rafting tour offers families and outdoor enthusiasts a unique way to celebrate Easter in the desert landscape of the Hoover Dam canyon.
