LAS VEGAS — Play Playground Las Vegas is expanding its partnership with The Animal Foundation this July to encourage more Southern Nevadans to foster animals in need.
The interactive entertainment destination inside Luxor Hotel and Casino announced that approved foster parents who take in an animal through The Animal Foundation between now and July 31 will receive two complimentary Play Passes as a thank-you for supporting local animal welfare efforts.
The initiative is part of Play Playground’s “Play It Forward” program, which focuses on giving back to nonprofit organizations throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
June foster campaign delivers strong results
The expanded program follows a successful kitten fostering campaign held in June.
During that initiative, Play Playground awarded 154 complimentary Play Passes to 77 foster families. The passes carried a total value of $6,620 and helped shine a spotlight on the importance of fostering animals before adoption.
The Animal Foundation continues to face a significant need for foster volunteers. In 2025 alone, nearly 29,000 animals entered the shelter’s care.
As a result, community support remains critical.
Foster homes provide temporary care, socialization and stability for animals while they wait for permanent homes. Additionally, fostering helps create valuable shelter space for other animals in need.
Supporting animals through community partnerships
Play Playground Las Vegas believes community partnerships can create a meaningful impact beyond entertainment.
The attraction features more than 20 interactive games and challenges designed to bring people together through friendly competition and shared experiences.
However, company leaders say creating connections extends beyond the venue itself.
“After seeing the response to last month’s kitten fostering initiative, expanding our community partnership with The Animal Foundation was an easy decision,” said Phil Royle, chief executive officer of Play Playground.
“Play Playground is built around creating meaningful connections, and fostering does the same by bringing people together around the shared purpose of caring for our community’s most vulnerable animals.”
Therefore, the company hopes the new promotion will inspire more residents to open their homes to animals in need.
How the program works
To participate, individuals must complete the official foster application process through The Animal Foundation.
Once approved and matched with an animal or litter, foster parents will receive two complimentary Play Passes for Play Playground Las Vegas.
The offer applies only to approved foster placements completed during July.
Additionally, the passes are non-transferable and hold no cash value.
Helping save more lives
The Animal Foundation remains one of the nation’s highest-volume single-site animal shelters.
The nonprofit saved more than 23,000 pets during 2025 and continues to provide adoption services, vaccinations, microchipping, lost-and-found assistance and community cat programs.
Meanwhile, Play Playground hopes the partnership will encourage more residents to become involved in local animal welfare efforts.
By fostering an animal, community members can make a direct difference while helping more pets find loving homes.
