Global entertainment event will focus on changes shaping film and television industries
LOS ANGELES — American Film Market will return to Los Angeles from Nov. 10 through Nov. 15, 2026, bringing together entertainment professionals from around the world for six days of screenings, networking, dealmaking, and industry discussions.
Organizers announced that this year’s event will center around a new theme, “The New Global Screen Economy,” which reflects major changes currently reshaping film, television, technology, financing, and worldwide content distribution.
The annual event will once again operate from Fairmont Century Plaza, while screenings will take place at AMC Century City 15.

Industry leaders expected to gather in Los Angeles
American Film Market remains one of the entertainment industry’s largest global business events. Each year, producers, distributors, investors, creators, and executives travel to Los Angeles to meet, negotiate projects, and explore market trends.
Organizers said this year’s theme highlights how quickly the entertainment business continues to evolve. Streaming growth, changing audience habits, global financing, and new technology continue reshaping how studios and creators develop and distribute content.
As a result, many industry conversations during the six-day market are expected to focus on adapting to those shifts while identifying new business opportunities.
The event also gives filmmakers and production companies opportunities to showcase projects to international buyers and partners.

Registration opens in June
American Film Market officials said registration for the 2026 event will officially open June 23. Early registration pricing will be available for attendees who sign up ahead of the event.
Additional information, including event details and updates, will become available through the official AFM website beginning June 2.
Organizers encouraged returning attendees and new participants to plan early as interest in the Los Angeles event continues to grow.

Event continues long-running industry tradition
American Film Market has served as a major business gathering for the entertainment industry for decades. The event combines screenings, networking opportunities, meetings, conferences, and distribution discussions under one program.
Industry leaders continue using the market to secure partnerships, launch projects, and discuss changes affecting global entertainment.
As Los Angeles is one of the world’s top production centers, organizers said the city continues to provide an important backdrop for international collaboration across film and television.
More information about registration and event schedules will be released in the coming weeks.
