Local newsroom places cupcake order to help support programs serving families, youth and individuals across Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS — Just Now News is doing its part to support a sweet cause this summer.
The independent news organization recently placed an order through Freed’s Bakery’s annual $1.50 Cupcake Sale, a community fundraiser benefiting HELP of Southern Nevada. The campaign allows residents and businesses to purchase cupcakes while helping raise money for programs that assist vulnerable individuals and families throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
The annual fundraiser has become a popular tradition in Southern Nevada. This year, Freed’s Bakery and HELP of Southern Nevada are once again partnering to combine community support with one of Las Vegas’ favorite treats.
Just Now News joined the effort by ordering cupcakes through the fundraiser and encouraging others throughout the community to participate.

Cupcakes support important local services
Freed’s Bakery will produce 3,500 cupcakes as part of this year’s campaign.
Customers can choose between two classic flavors. Options include a vanilla cupcake topped with buttercream icing or a chocolate cupcake finished with buttercream icing.
The fundraiser carries a bigger purpose than simply satisfying a sweet tooth.
Seventy-five percent of proceeds from designated HELP of Southern Nevada cupcake sales will directly benefit the nonprofit organization’s programs and services.
As a result, every order helps provide support for individuals and families facing challenges throughout Southern Nevada.

Community support remains essential
HELP of Southern Nevada has served local residents for decades.
The organization provides assistance through housing programs, workforce development, behavioral health services, homeless outreach programs and support for homeless youth.
Thousands of Southern Nevadans benefit from those services every year.
Consequently, fundraising campaigns such as the cupcake sale play an important role in helping sustain those efforts.
Community partnerships remain critical as demand for services continues throughout the region.
Organizations, businesses and residents all have opportunities to contribute.
Just Now News believes supporting local nonprofits strengthens the communities it serves and reports on every day.
Limited-time fundraiser now underway
The cupcake promotion is available through online pre-orders only.
Once all 3,500 cupcakes have been sold, the special pricing promotion will end.
Orders will be available for pickup or delivery on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Because supplies are limited, organizers encourage supporters to place their orders early.
The fundraiser offers a simple way for community members to enjoy a favorite local bakery while helping fund services that make a meaningful difference across Southern Nevada.
For Just Now News, participating in the campaign represents another opportunity to support organizations that work every day to improve lives throughout the community.
