Grand Canyon West will soon take center stage inside Disney’s newest theme park attraction as the destination prepares to appear in the all-new “Soarin’ Across America” experience.
Disney confirmed that Grand Canyon West will be featured as one of the attraction’s signature American landscapes when the ride debuts May 26, 2026, at Walt Disney World Resort and July 2, 2026, at Disneyland Resort.
The immersive attraction will showcase iconic destinations across the United States while giving guests the sensation of flying above major landmarks and natural wonders.

Grand Canyon West Selected for New Disney Attraction
Disney selected Grand Canyon West because of both its natural scenery and cultural importance.
Located in Arizona near the western edge of the Grand Canyon, the destination is known for attractions including the glass-bottom Skywalk, Eagle Point, and Guano Point.
However, officials say the site’s connection to the Hualapai Tribe also played a major role in Disney’s decision.
The Hualapai Tribe owns more than one million acres surrounding 108 miles of the Grand Canyon.
As a result, Grand Canyon West offers visitors a combination of scenic tourism and cultural experiences connected to Hualapai history and traditions.

Disney Ride Highlights American Landscapes
“Soarin’ Across America” replaces earlier versions of the popular Disney attraction with updated visuals and locations focused entirely on American destinations.
Guests ride inside a motion-based theater that creates the feeling of flying across landscapes, landmarks, and national attractions.
Disney says the updated experience will feature sweeping aerial footage, immersive sound design, and sensory effects designed to make riders feel fully immersed in the journey.
Grand Canyon West officials say the attraction introduces millions of Disney guests to the beauty of the American Southwest.

Cultural Experiences Remain Major Attraction
Beyond the scenic views, Grand Canyon West continues expanding cultural tourism experiences connected to the Hualapai Tribe.
Visitors can explore traditional dwellings, cultural exhibits, storytelling experiences, and live performances throughout the property.
Officials say those experiences help guests better understand the history and significance of the land.
In addition, tourism leaders believe Disney’s global audience could help drive future travel interest to northern Arizona.
Tourism Interest Expected to Grow
Industry experts say major media exposure often creates increased tourism demand for destinations featured inside Disney attractions and films.
Millions of visitors experience Disney theme park attractions every year. Grand Canyon West could receive major international visibility through the new ride.
Tourism officials expect interest in Grand Canyon West to continue growing as travelers search for outdoor experiences and cultural tourism opportunities across the Southwest.
The attraction officially opens May 26 at Walt Disney World Resort and July 2 at Disneyland Resort.
