LAS VEGAS — Quality Training Centers (QTC) is preparing for its next stage of growth by expanding its Las Vegas campus and adding two experienced leaders to its executive team. The move comes as Southern Nevada contractors continue searching for qualified, job-ready technicians to fill positions across the construction and skilled trades industries.

The campus expansion and leadership appointments reflect increasing demand for technical education that prepares students to enter the workforce quickly with practical, hands-on experience.

New program director brings years of industry experience

Quality Training Centers has named Kodi Wilson as its new Program Director. Wilson joins the school after serving as Campus Director at National Technical Institute’s Las Vegas campus, where he managed faculty, curriculum development and enrollment initiatives.

However, Wilson’s career began long before entering education. He started working in plumbing at just 17 years old and built experience across residential, commercial and industrial projects. His background also includes facilities maintenance, service work and new construction.

That combination of classroom leadership and real-world experience made him a natural fit for QTC.

Chris Roth, co-owner of Quality Training Centers, said Wilson understands both the technical side of the trades and the educational needs of future technicians. Roth also noted their professional relationship stretches back several years, making Wilson’s arrival especially meaningful as the school continues to expand.

Wilson said joining QTC represented an opportunity to become part of a school that has earned the confidence of local contractors by focusing on practical training instead of theory alone.

Career partnerships continue to grow

Meanwhile, QTC has also welcomed Dallas Eddington as Director of Careers and Partnerships.

Eddington will focus on strengthening relationships with contractors throughout Southern Nevada. Additionally, he will help ensure training programs continue matching the changing needs of employers looking for skilled technicians.

His background includes HVAC installation, residential construction and safety management. Consequently, he understands the qualifications contractors expect when hiring new employees.

As demand changes, Eddington will work directly with industry partners to help shape future curriculum and connect graduates with employment opportunities.

Campus expansion supports higher enrollment

The leadership additions arrive as Quality Training Centers expands its physical campus.

Recently, the school acquired the neighboring building to increase classroom space and support continued enrollment growth. Construction is currently underway to create additional learning areas for students entering the skilled trades.

According to school leadership, expanding the campus will allow QTC to train more technicians while maintaining its emphasis on hands-on instruction.

The investment also reflects continued confidence in Southern Nevada’s construction industry, where employers continue searching for trained workers in HVAC, electrical and refrigeration fields.

Training designed for real job sites

Unlike many traditional classroom programs, Quality Training Centers structures its curriculum around actual field conditions.

Students receive practical instruction inside a residential skills lab built as a functioning home. Therefore, they gain experience using the same tools, equipment and procedures they will encounter on active job sites.

Contractors also play an important role in developing coursework. As a result, students graduate with skills that align with current industry expectations rather than outdated training methods.

Programs typically range from four to 12 weeks, allowing graduates to enter the workforce quickly while meeting contractor standards.

Since opening in 1994, Quality Training Centers has focused on building a direct connection between education and employment. The contractor-owned trade school continues adapting its programs to support workforce needs across Southern Nevada.
